His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, today attended the Retreat Session of the 32nd ASEAN Summit which was held at the Tower B Ballroom, Shangri-La Hotel, Republic of Singapore.

The Retreat Session of the 32nd ASEAN Summit was also attended by His Excellency Dato Paduka Lim Jock Hoi, the ASEAN Secretary-General.

The Retreat Session commenced with an opening statement by His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore and Chairman of ASEAN, in which His Excellency welcomed all the ASEAN Heads of State and Government to the Retreat Session.

During the Retreat Session, His Majesty and other leaders discussed issues on cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern, as well as on ASEAN’s external relations and its future direction.

After the Retreat Session, His Majesty then proceeded to the Tower A Ballroom to attend a Luncheon hosted by His Excellency the Prime Minister of Singapore and Chairman of ASEAN.
