Audience And Junjung Ziarah In Conjunction With Aidilfitri, Morning

The opening of Istana Nurul Iman for three days in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri ended yesterday, where a total of 110 thousand 828 well-wishers comprising the country's citizens and residents, as well as those from neighbouring countries and other nations. They had the opportunity to have an audience and Junjung Ziarah with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Alam, as well as other members of the Royal Family. On the first day Istana Nurul Iman opened to the public 35 thousand 613 visitors were recorded, 42 thousand 921 visitors on the second day, and 32 thousand 294 people visited Istana Nurul Iman on the last day it was opened in conjunction with this year's Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

 

In the morning session alone, 17 thousand 775 well-wishers from all walks of life visited Istana Nurul Iman.

 

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience and the Junjung Ziarah from the male well-wishers. Also in attendance were;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; and other members of the Royal Family.

 

The well-wishers included senior citizens, new converts from all districts, private sector staff, the underprivileged, and children. Regardless of age and wealth, all well-wishers took the golden opportunity to Junjung Ziarah with His Majesty.

 

Istana Nurul Iman is synonymous with Hari Raya visits, and it is not only open to the country's citizens and residents, but also to foreign employees who are working in the country, as well as tourists from various nations. This is the uniqueness of Brunei Darussalam in celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It reflects a country that is peaceful and united under the just leadership of His Majesty, apart from the culture and noble values that are still being preserved.

 

Visitors had the opportunity to meet and greet the Monarch in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere. The closeness between the Monarch and the people portrays a strong bond which can be clearly seen as the citizens and residents rushed to visit Istana Nurul Iman solely to Junjung Ziarah and convey their Hari Raya greetings to His Majesty.

 

Meanwhile at another part of Istana Nurul Iman, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha received in audience and Junjung Ziarah from the female well-wishers. Also present were;

 

- Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah;

 

- Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah;

 

- Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna; and

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al Islam. Also present were Her Majesty's grandchildren.

 

Visiting Istana Nurul Iman to greet Their Majesties during Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a long-practised tradition towards strengthening solidarity between the Monarch and the people.

 

The opportunity to meet and greet Their Majesties and other members of the Royal Family is a blessing for the country's citizens and residents for having a Monarch who is caring and attentive towards the citizens and resident's welfare and well-being.
