The Fire and Rescue Department, along with Armtrix Enterprise, will hold a Fire Fighter Run on June 5 at the Department’s sports complex.

Some 3,000 participants from Brunei Darussalam as well as fire and rescue personnel from Johor, Sabah and Sarawak will take part.

The distribution of the Fire Fighter Run race kit starts today from 6pm-10pm; Friday from 9am-12 noon and extended to 2pm-10pm.

On Saturday, kits can be collected from 9am – 12 noon.

During the event, awareness campaigns will also be carried out to highlight issues such as fire safety and causes, as well as enforcement issues relating to the Fire Safety Order 2016.

Demonstrations on fires extinguishing, fire jacket usage, flying box and other activities will also be held.

Meanwhile, the Miri Fire Station will also promote a joint run, which will take place on July 22.

The registration date for the Miri Fire Station run starts June 5-17 2016.
