In efforts to unify the newly converts in the Tutong District, the New Converts Association formed in 1982 is a platform to forge closer relationships.

Known as PESATU, the associaton has more than two hundred members who are now operating in a new premise located at Kampong Lubok Pulau.

With this building, members can perform various events and religious activities bolstering ties among the members old and new.

An Al-Quran reading class is also formed to ease newly converts in learning the divine commandments.

PESATU also formed its branch in Kampong Ukong, Tutong. With the branch now operational, it can empower the new converts in learning more in depth about Islam.

In an interview with Dayang Hajah Rohaidah Anizah binti Mohd Kamsani, the Secretary General of the Assocations, they will develop more on the classes available and in the month of Ramadan the association will also held tedarus and terawih prayers in its surau and performing tedarus from house to house.
