​Four national swimmers received an incentive and recognition for breaking the national record. The Brunei Swimming National Open Record Achievement Award Ceremony took place yesterday afternoon at Saffron Restaurant in Kiulap.

Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in a speech congratulates the athletes and gave encouragement for the next tournament in years ahead. Yang Berhormat also advised the athletes to give their full commitment during training and competition.

The four swimmers namely Christian Nikles; Nur Haziq Samil; Ashley Chai and Muhammad Isa Ahmad received 300 dollars each. Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa bin Pehin Datu Perdana Manteri Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Ibrahim, Special Advisor to His Majesty and Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. The event was organised by the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association.
