SCOT Community Programme Helps the Less Fortunate

Members of the Society for Community Outreach and Training (SCOT) are urged to continue to be diligent in helping to alleviate the burden of the less fortunate. Speaking at the SCOT 2018 Honorary Award Presentation in conjunction with the 5th SCOT Annual General Meeting, the minister of Culture, Youth and Sports expressed his appreciation for the noble initiatives carried out by SCOT in caring for the affairs of the less fortunate.

 

Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, also praised the role and involvement of SCOT in welfare programmes. Yang Berhormat added the teamwork spirit and sacrifice of time or high commitment are among the factors that allows SCOT to achieve the objectives of every project carried out.

 

Pengiran Salimatul Sa'ada binti Pengiran Mohd Saleh, the President of SCOT received the SCOT Honorary Award. The 5th presentation of the award is specifically for members who have excelled as a symbol of appreciation and recognition for their vital contributions towards the organisation's development and progress.

 

As of this year, a new award was introduced which is the 'Stakeholder Award' which will be presented to a stakeholder who have given their continuous commitment in support of the SCOT project to eradicate poverty through the Public Private Partnership (PPP). Its recipient was Kawan Bumi Enterprise. Meanwhile, Awang Muhammad Farhan bin Azama received the Certificate of Aspiration.

 

Pengiran Salimatul Sa'ada in an interview with RTB said her involvement in a number of charity projects organised by SCOT locally and overseas has helped to alleviate the burden of the less fortunate.
