His Majesty Presents Letters Of Credence

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon presented Letters of Credence to newly appointed Brunei Darussalam envoys, and received Letters of Credence from newly appointed foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam. The Ceremonies took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
His Majesty first presented the Letter of Credence to Her Excellency Dayang Hajah Masurai binti Haji Masri, Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in Geneva, Swiss Confederation. Previously, Her Excellency held the post of High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
This was followed by Her Excellency Dayang Hajah Noor Qamar binti Haji Sulaiman, Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in New York, United States of America. Her Excellency previously held the post of Senior Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Next was Her Excellency Pengiran Hajah Rooslina Weti binti Pengiran Haji Kamaluddin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom. Previously, Her Excellency held the post of Acting High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom.
Lastly, His Excellency Awang Haji Adnan bin Haji Mohd. Ja'afar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. Previously, His Excellency held the post of Deputy Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
His Majesty then received Letter of Credence from His Excellency Jassim Ali Abdullah Al Obaidli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Brunei Darussalam.
Also presenting the Letter of Credence to His Majesty was His Excellency Ajaneesh Kumar, High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam.
Next was His Excellency Emad bin Abdul Aziz bin Saad Al Muhanna, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam.
His Majesty then received in audience Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in Geneva, Swiss Confederation; Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in New York, United States of America; High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the United Kingdom; and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.
His Majesty next received in separate audiences the newly-appointed envoys to Brunei Darussalam, starting with His Excellency Jassim Ali Abdullah Al Obaidli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the country. His Excellency previously served as Ambassador at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
Next, His Majesty received in audience His Excellency Ajaneesh Kumar, High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam. His Excellency formerly served as Deputy Director General in the Indian Council of World Affairs in New Delhi.
Lastly, His Majesty received His Excellency Emad bin Abdul Aziz bin Saad Al Muhanna, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam. His Excellency formerly served as Director of the Undersecretary Office for Protocol Affairs. Also present at the Audience ceremonies was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs.
