Psycho-Education Intervention Workshop

Sharing methods related to counselling skills in tackling and detecting students' problems such as depression is among the objectives of the Psycho-Education Intervention Workshop: Psycho-education Group Model organised by the Counselling and Career Unitm Student Affairs Section, Schools Department, Ministry of Education. The workshop took place at the Islamic Dakwah Centre.

 

The workshop was officiated this morning by Awang Haji Mohammad Sharifuddin bin Haji Mohammad Salleh, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer for Corporate, Schools Department. More than 70 people comprising full time school counsellors from primary and secondary schools, colleges and sixth form centre as well as officers from the Counselling and Career Unit took part in the 2-day workshop. It was facilitated by Associate Professor Dr. Aslina binti Ahmad, Lecturer at the Psychology and Counselling Section, Human Development faculty, University Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia. The workshop among other matters aimed to equip school counsellors with counselling skills which are relevant with the current trends.
