​The air quality recorded at all air quality monitoring stations (10 Particulate Matter) in the four district are high compared to during normal days, in the range of good to moderate. While the Pollutant Standard Index, PSI yesterday, as of 5 in the afternoon were recorded as follows:

 

PSI reading of less than 50 is for good air quality, while, between 50 and 100 is moderate. Statement released by the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, Ministry of Development also said that The Ministry of Health advises the public at moderate PSI reading (between 50 and 100), for those who do not have any health problems can carry out outdoor activities while children, senior citizen and individual who suffer from Asthma, Lungs and heart diseases are advised to reduce outdoor physical activities. The public is also advised to drink sufficient amounts of water and to go to the doctor at Health Centres if they show any medical symptoms such as coughing, colds, eye irritations and respiratory problems. The Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation continues to monitor the situation from time to time. The public will be informed on the air quality through Radio Television Brunei and the department's website. The public is also advised not to conduct open burning and activities that can cause grass and forest fires.
