Uh oh, we’re glad we weren’t on the receiving end of this video message.

It all starts off innocently enough, just a dad wishing his daughter well while she’s away on holiday.

But he soon reveals an ulterior motive for getting in touch, bringing a near-empty bottle of Fireballs Whiskey into shot.

‘I don’t know if this is something that fell out of a sock – because it was in your sock drawer,’ he said.

‘We heard a news report of people breaking into houses and hiding whiskey bottles, so if that’s the case then we need to contact the police.’

Seems plausible… Unless… It was actually hidden there by Elainey herself??

The Texas teenager posted about the exchange on Twitter where it has been shared more than 20,000 times.

Her dad continues: ‘If you’ve got another explanation, maybe you could explain it to us when you get home.’

So far, so reasonable – but that steely glint in his eye might well make his daughter apprehensive for the next time they all sit down to dinner together.
