Covid-19 Watch: 10,002 New Cases Bring Total To 4,256,469

PETALING JAYA

 

Malaysia recorded 10,002 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (April 4), says the Health Ministry.

 

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 9,904 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 98 imported cases.

 

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,256,469 cases since the pandemic began.

 

The utilisation of hospital beds stand at 59.1%, while ICU and ventilator usage were currently at 53.8% and 33.1%, respectively.

 

A total of 28 deaths were recorded on Monday with 7 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 35,127.
