BERAKAS

The Minister of Home Affairs informed that with the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the COVID-19 Steering Committee announced the Early Endemic Phase under the National COVID-19 Recovery Framework will be extended for one month from 1st until 31st May 2022.

The COVID-19 Steering Committee updated the existing guidelines as follow:

- All officers and staff of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam including those working at service counters and as frontliners, regardless of their vaccination status, with the exception of those with purple BruHealth code, are required to return to work physically at their respective offices, starting Monday, 25th April 2022. Therefore, the private sector is also encouraged to carry out this guideline and further consideration is subject to respective employers.

- The Day Pass Protocol, which is provided for Government officers and staff under red code to replace the requirement for quarantine with negative ART for five days, will be extended to the public. Those under red code will be required to report and verify their negative ART result daily for five days through the BruHealth application to allow them to enter premises each day. The measure will be implemented starting Friday, 6th May 2022.
