​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah stresses that the fight against desire is the real test for the Muslim ummah. The fight, His Majesty emphasises, must be continued perpetually, not broken or stopped for only one month of Ramadhan. His Majesty states this in the Titah in conjunction with Hari Raya 'Idilfitri 1444, 2023 broadcast nationwide through radio and television. His Majesty began his titah by inviting the Muslim ummah to together be grateful to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, for the blessing of celebrating Hari Raya. His Majesty says that verily Hari Raya is the much-awaited moment after successfully performing the obligation of fasting.
