Covid-19: Death Toll Reaches 21,124 With 413 Total Fatalities Reported Monday (Sept 13)

Malaysia's Covid-19 death toll has reached 21,124 after the Health Ministry reported 413 more deaths on Monday (Sept 13).
The 413 deaths include backlogged cases that were previously unreported.
According to the Health Ministry's CovidNow website, the average number of deaths daily over the past one week (based on the actual date of death) is 104.
Based on the latest graphs, the statistics for Covid-19 deaths show a declining trend.
The government has changed its method of reporting Covid-19 deaths to better reflect the current pandemic situation in the country.
The CovidNow website will show the number of newly-reported deaths, including the backlog, as well as a separate figure which shows the actual number of deaths.
Of the 413 reported deaths on Monday, 176 fatalities were classified as "brought-in-dead" (BID) cases.
This brings the total of BID cases in the country to 3,958.
On Monday, Malaysia reported 16,052 new Covid-19 cases and 24,813 recoveries.
The number of active Covid-19 cases is 228,124, a reduction of 9,153 from the previous day.
Of the total number of active cases, 188,561 or 82.7% are patients with mild infections and are undergoing home quarantine.
Another 25,352 (11.1%) are those under isolation at low-risk quarantine centres (PKRC).
Some 12,910 (5.7%) are hospitalised, while another 1,301 are in intensive care units (ICU).
The national ICU utilisation rate is currently at 84.8%.
Two states have ICUs operating at overcapacity – Kedah (123.1%) and Kelantan (103.3%)
Penang's ICU rate has gone slightly down from 101.8% on Sunday to 94.9% on Monday.
The Klang Valley's ICU usage rate is 84.2%.
