​Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, Royal Patron of the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam graced the Khatam Al-Qur'an Ceremony in conjunction with the Girl Guides Day Celebration, 8th October afternoon.

The ceremony held at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Royal Polo and Riding Club, Jerudong was also in conjunction with the birthday celebration of Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri.

Upon arrival, Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri was greeted by Dayang Hajah Viviyanti binti Haji Md. Ali, Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association.

Also in-attendance were:

- Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah;

- Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah;

- And, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah.

The Deputy Chief Commissioner of the association in her welcoming remarks among other things said that the Girl Guides Association recorded a new era under the active and effective leadership of Her Majesty.

The mass reading of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Dayang Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Abdul Ghani, Spiritual Commissioner of the association, followed by the reading of doa and Tahtim.

Doa Khatam Al-Quran was read by Doctor Mariam binti Haji Abdul Rahman, Unit Leader, Young Leader of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University. Her Majesty then consented to cut the birthday cake.

The reading of doa selamat and doa peliharakan sultan and Brunei Darussalam was read by the Association's Spiritual Commissioner.
