As part of the on-going Book Fair at the UTB Library, Google Developer Group (GDG) Brunei handed over 50 sets of Google Business Booklets to the UTB Library.

The booklet covers best practices in publishing apps for the Google Play Store. GDG Brunei hopes that students can use the booklet as guidelines to develop apps that appeal to the international market.

With access to the guidelines, GDG Brunei also encourages students to partake of the many GDG activities such as code labs and study jam sessions to develop skills. This will encourage students to be mobile app developers and technopreneurs.

Awang Haji Abdul Hafidz bin Haji Ali Hassan received the booklets on behalf of the UTB Library and Pengiran Sarimah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Latiff presented them on behalf of GDG Brunei.

UTB Library Book Bazaar or ULBB was organised from April 18-21 at Level 1, UTB Library to commemorate the 30th anniversary of UTB.

The objectives of the bazaar were to promote library activities, to provide opportunities for academics to personally meet local and overseas book vendors to select new titles, to inform academics of the latest published academic books and references in different fields to support teaching, learning, research activities and general reading, to enrich the Library collection with the latest published academic books, references and general topics on different fields, and to enhance the community awareness on the empowerment of knowledge and reading culture as a source of inspiration for lifelong learning in our daily lives.
