In the agriculture sector, the Ministry of Finance welcomes qualified farmers to submit their loan applications from Bank Usahawan, in view that agriculture is one of the sectors included under the Bank Usahawan scope of funding. In response to the query raised by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohimin bin Haji Johari, on Bank Usahawan, the Second Minister of Finance explained that the Bank Usahawan plays a role in providing financial loans to micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, comprising citizens and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam. This includes entrepreneurs venturing into agriculture related sectors.

Yang Berhormat said that application conditions for the bank's facilities are: applicant must own a business or company, the business must be registered and licensed according to the laws and regulations of Brunei Darussalam and that the business must be carried out in Brunei Darussalam. Bank Usahawan with the cooperation of other stakeholders also plays a role in providing advice and guidance to micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, especially on basic entrepreneurship and business matters. In this regard, Bank Usahawan has received one hundred and 34 applications of which eleven of them are pertaining to the agriculture sector.
