Touching on the National Development Plan, the Ministry of Home Affairs proposed a budget allocation of 54 million dollars for the Financial Year 2018/2019.

The Minister of Home Affairs said for the Financial Year 2018/2019, the 54-million-dollars budget proposal will be utilised for projects under the 11th National Development Plan, namely upgrading Gadong Market, revitalising Kampong Ayer, and upgrading the Jerudong Beach Market. On the plan to revitalise Kampong Ayer, 157 houses will be built with the assistance of several related government agencies; 47 houses will be built in the first phase, 110 others in the second phase.
