Ramadhan Working Hours

In 2 weeks' time, the Muslim ummah nationwide will perform the fast in Ramadhan. The sighting for the new moon of Ramadhan will be held on Tuesday, the 15th of this month at several locations in the country. Meanwhile, working hours for the ministries and government departments throughout Ramadhan for the year 1439 Hijrah/2018 from Monday to Thursday and Saturday are from 8 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon.

 

For Ministries and Government Departments which are open on Friday, the working hours start from 8 to 11.30 in the morning. The announcement is made by the Prime Minister's Office in carrying out the command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.   Meanwhile, for daily paid employees, working hours are reduced by one hour from the normal time, while the start of working hours is up to the discretion of the respective ministries and departments.
