His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a message of congratulations to Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Dato Laila Utama Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia on his recent victory as Langkawi Parliament Member in the Malaysia's 14th general elections and on his appointment as the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia.

In the message to Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Dato Laila Utama Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, His Majesty conveyed his congratulations for his success which represented the confidence of the Malaysian people for Yang Amat Berhormat Tun to lead again the Government of Malaysia. His Majesty further stated that under the leadership of Yang Amat Berhormat Tun, the welfare of the Malaysia people would continue to be safeguarded and Malaysia would continue to enjoy stability and harmony. His Majesty was also confident that the close friendship and bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia would continue to be enhanced and strengthened for the mutual benefit and prosperity of the people of both countries.

In ending the message to Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Dato Laila Utama Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, His Majesty prayed that Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala would bless Yang Amat Berhormat Tun and Tun Datin Dr. Siti Hasmah as well as his family with continuous good health and happiness.
