Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony in Conjunction with RBAF's 57th Anniversary

His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince; Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; and General of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, this afternoon attended a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the RBAF's 57th Anniversary. The ceremony took place at Ad-Difa' Surau of the Ministry of Defence at the Bolkiah Garison.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence and Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of RBAF.
The ceremony commenced with the reading of Quranic verses by Corporal Nazirul bin Haji Asmat. Followed by a mass Fardu Zuhur led by Awang Zulfadhli bin Haji Awang, the Surau Imam.
Meanwhile surah Yasin and Tahlil were read by Awang Shuib bin HAJI Abdullah, the Surau Imam, who also read the Doa Kesyukuran.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince then received junjung ziarah from those who present. Also present were Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; Retired Captain Dato Paduka Abdul Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Royal Brunei Navy, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence; Service Commanders and Joint Force Commander, Deputy Permanent secretary for Technology and Development, Directors, Commandants and Senior Officers of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF as well as other invited guests.
Before leaving, His Royal Highness signed the Royal Parchment. This year RBAF's 57th Anniversary celebration carries a theme 'Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara'. The grand celebration to behold on 1st of July at the Penanjong Garison in Tutong.
