Providing religious guidance to children from a young age, as well as monitoring their communication, activities and problems are needed not only when they are at home, but also when they are out. Parents are also urged to always pray for the well-being and success of their children in this world and the hereafter. According to today's Friday Sermon, parents play a vital role in shaping and educating their children to ensure they do not fall into and be involved in misuse of drugs.

Aside from the role of parents, the Imam or prayer leader also highlighted the vital role of society in eradicating misuse of drugs, as those involved in these activities need to be given support, encouragement and motivation to strengthen their self-resilience, especially those who are in the process of drug rehabilitation. As members of the society, our responsibility is to provide guidance and encouragement to them, with the prayer leader highlighting the role of parents as the backbone of the family in guiding the family to be on the straight path. In the sermon, the prayer leader also said that misuse of drugs is the cause of social ailments that are spreading globally, affecting the economic, community and national development. The sermon called on the ummah to raise public awareness and understanding towards the dangers of drug-abuse and strive to control the menace from ruining our children.
