His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon received in audience Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Princess Royal of Thailand. The audience ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.

Accompanying Her Royal Highness was Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Chargé d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam. Also present was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Thailand have enjoyed a warm and close bilateral relationship since the establishment of diplomatic relations of both countries in 1984.
