The 'Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat' programme was held earlier in conjunction with Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque's 67th Anniversary and the Walkathon in conjunction with the 35th Teachers' Day Celebration. The programme took place at the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the Capital, 19th October early morning. The event included a talk titled "The Mosque is a Symbol of National Sovereignty". Among those touched was that the Mosque is not just a place to perform prayer, but is a holistic community centre and a symbol of national sovereignty. It also functions as a platform for the unification of the ummah, the dissemination of knowledge and community development.
Apart from playing a role in instilling a love for the mosque as the house of Allah, the programme fosters the spirit of "Negara Zikir" and "Negara Berkat" through the internalisation of Islamic teachings in daily life, thus contributing to the country's well-being and prosperity based on Islamic values.
