To enhance culinary creativity, a Cooking Competition dubbed the "Masterchef Kampung" was held at the Kampung Lubok Pulau Community Hall in Tutong District, 17th August morning. Organised by the Tanjong Maya and Lubok Pulau Village Consultative Council in collaboration with the Women's Bureau of the PEKLAP Association, the competition was held in conjunction with the 79th Birthday Celebration.
12 participants competed in the event, which highlighted traditional cuisine as the nation's cultural heritage, and created business opportunities within the local community. The winner was Dayang Nur Khairin binti Haji Mohammad Soffian. Prizes were presented by Awangku Arif bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Assistant Tutong District Officer.
