Brunei Darussalam is currently in the Inter-monsoon phase, which typically persist throughout this month. As of 11 in the morning local time today, Severe Tropical Storm 'KALMAEGI' has been upgraded to Typhoon 'KALMAEGI' at approximately 1500 kilometres away from Brunei Darussalam. Typhoon 'KALMAEGI' is forecasted to move Westwards, away from the country.
Typhoon 'KALMAEGI' is expected to indirectly influence the weather in the country. Active weather conditions are expected starting tomorrow until 7 November. Occasional heavy and gusty showers or thundershowers are expected to affect sea areas and several areas of the country, with wind gust of up to 50 kilometres per hour in or near heavy showers. Members of the public are advised to take precautionary actions with respect to the forecasted active weather condition.
