The Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sendirian Berhad BFI received a visit from delegation from the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste led by His Excellency Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, Vice Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Tourism & Environment and His Excellency Mariano Assanami Sabino, Vice Prime Minister, Minister Coordinator for Social Affairs and Minister of Rural Development and Community Housing.
The delegation was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy as Chairman of BFI. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the company's operations, including its role in the production of ammonia and urea. The delegation was also taken to view the factory and Central Control Room and Safety Park. Also joining the delegation were His Excellency Bendito dos Santos Freitas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and His Excellency Francisco da Costa Monteiro, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
