Seven foreigners were arrested and brought to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation. The arrests were made as a result of 'Operasi Kakas' by the Department of Immigration and National Registration, JIPK, which targeted several locations in the country.
The operation, which targeted a playground in Mukim Berakas 'A' and rental houses in Mukim Kianggeh, Mukim Kota Batu and the surrounding areas of Mukim Belait, involved the Law Enforcement Division of Bandar Seri Begawan and Kuala Belait Branch.
Among the offences found were overstaying in the country; failing to produce any valid documents; not working with the original employer and working not according to the position stated in the passport.
