Working Paper Presentation

 

 


Working papers were tabled at the 14th International Conference on Islam in Malay World, 7th October afternoon.

 

Present, Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA. In a working paper titled 'Islam Di Alam Melayu: Keilmuan Islam Mendepani Cabaran Era Kecerdasan Buatan, AI', Professor Dato Doctor Mohd Fakhruddin bin Mokti, Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin, UNISSA touches on Islamic thought that will always face challenges, be dealt with appropriately. However, it is now in the wave of the digital age and AI, which is more challenging.

 

Meanwhile, Professor Doctor H. Rosihon Anwar, Rector of the Graduate School, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, Bandung, Indonesia presented a working paper on 'Navigating The Future: Islamic Science And Knowledge In The Malay World Confronting Artificial Intelligence, AI.' It discussed on the Muslim community in southern Thailand which integrated AI as a tool for education and empowerment, as a manifestation of the mandate to raise the community's status through knowledge.

 

Professor Doctor Ibrahem Narongraksakhet of Prince Songkla University, Pattani, Thailand, in a working paper titled 'Roles of Religious Leaders in Promoting Dialogues Among Different Religious Sects in Thailand', highlighted the importance of sustainable capacity building, support of institutions, and collaborative sharing between religious institutions, the community, and governmental bodies. This is to ensure the dialogue initiative leads to community harmony.
