The Tutong District Office imposed a compound fine on a company for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021.
Syarikat NUR HALIMA Sendirian Berhad was issued a compound fine of BND2,000 for dumping construction waste and various types of garbage in public open areas, and is required to settle the compound fine within 7 days.
If in default, the company can be brought to court and if found guilty can be fined not less than BND2,000 and not exceeding BND10,000. For the second or subsequent offences, a fine of not less than BND10,000 and not exceeding BND30,000, imprisonment for a period not exceeding 12 months, or both.
