In conjunction with the 6th Edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games 2025, Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strengthened bilateral relations through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Brunei Darussalam and the Ministry of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Cooperation in the Field of Youth and Sports.
The MoU was signed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal Al- Saud, Minister of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In bilateral discussions after the signing, both ministers expressed their hope to continue to enhance cooperation in youth and sports development between the two countries, including cooperation in training, capacity building programmes and youth exchange initiatives. Also present was His Excellency Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Saudi Arabia.
