The 12-night Dikir Maulud gathering at Surau of Istana Nurul Iman in celebration of the Maulidur Rasul 1448 Hijrah, marked its 11th night on Sunday evening.
At the male surau, the gathering was joined by Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos and personnel from the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), Penanjong Village Consultative Council (MPK), Kampong Bengkurong Mosque Takmir Committee and Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB).
Meanwhile at the female surau, it was attended by personnel from MTIC, MPK Penanjong, Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Brunei International Airport Surau Muslimah groups and ITQSHHB.
The programme began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by verses from Al-Quran.
This was followed by a religious talk titled ‘Menyemai Cinta Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi Wa Sallam melalui Doa Membina Jiwa Tenang’ delivered by Haji Muhammad Naqib bin Haji Awang for the male surau and Siti Noraini binti Haji Mohd Hashim at the female surau.
The gathering continued with Dikir Assalamualaika, Dikir Asyrakal, Dikir Khairuman and other Dikir recitations.
The programme concluded with the recitation of the Dikir prayer and the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, expressing gratitude and prayers for continued blessings, peace and prosperity for the country. – LYNA MOHAMAD
