Fraudulent Activities

The public, particularly suppliers and business owners, are advised to remain vigilant and refrain from entering into agreements, making financial transactions, or taking further action without prior official verification. The reminder was made by the Ministry of Education following fraudulent activities involving the falsification of official Purchase Orders, PO and individuals impersonating the Ministry's officials.

The Ministry of Education clarifies that POs, payment requests, or any financial instructions are never issued through unofficial channels. Any party receiving a request, payment instruction, or any suspicious documentation is advised to verify its authenticity through the Ministry of Education's official communication channels. Any fraudulent elements or suspicious documents should be reported immediately to the authorities or relevant parties. The Ministry of Education takes any attempt to misuse the Ministry's identity for fraudulent purposes seriously. The Ministry urges anyone who has fallen victim to this scam, or those with relevant information, to immediately lodge a report with the Royal Brunei Police Force.
