A total of 153 converts are participating in the Advanced Guidance Scheme II for Converts, aimed at deepening their knowledge and understanding of Islam, particularly in Aqidah, worship and morals.
The programme, comprising the 43rd Series for male participants and 44th Series for female participants, is organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre under the Ministry of Religious Affairs through its Muallaf Development Division (Tarbiyah Muallaf) and district Da’wah branch offices.
The 14-day programme began on Wednesday and will continue until September 10, excluding Sundays. It is being conducted simultaneously across all four districts.
Of the 153 participants, 51 are from the Brunei-Muara District, 48 from the Tutong District, 31 from the Belait District and 23 from the Temburong District.
Sessions are being held at the Darul Huda Building at the Islamic Da’wah Centre in the Brunei-Muara District; the Multipurpose Hall at the Tutong District Da’wah Branch Office; and the Da’wah branch offices in the Belait and Temburong districts.
Throughout the programme, participants will learn the fundamentals of Fardhu ‘Ain, including Iqra’, practical religious observances, Aqidah, Fiqh of Zakat, Fiqh of Muamalat, Islamic history, Islamic morals, Qurban and Aqiqah.
Activities also include a sharing session on Syariah law by the Islamic Legal Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and an educational visit to the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
The scheme seeks to provide converts with continued guidance to strengthen and enhance their Islamic knowledge, particularly in matters relating to faith, worship and good character.
