A local man and a permanent resident were fined by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrates Court and Kuala Belait Magistrates Courts for violating the Law Enforcement Regulations Act in the country.
A local man was fined for storing and possessing 76 units of vape of various brands without a valid permit. MOHAMAD NAZIRUL HAFIDZ BIN HAMDAN, aged 36, was fined $12,450, or 12 months imprisonment, if in default. All the contraband were seized to be destroyed.
Meanwhile, a permanent resident was also fined for possessing 84 bottles of alcoholic drinks without a valid permit. LIM WEI SHENG, aged 23, pleaded guilty and was fined $5,592 or 5 months imprisonment, if in default. All the contraband and a Rover 600 vehicle were seized for further action.
