The Department of Zakat, Waqaf and Baitulmal Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs continued the 'Kembara Zakat' 2026 Programme at Tutong Distict. The programme targets Penghulus and village heads regarding the management of tithe assistance applications, the Department's services under the National Welfare System as well as an introduction to Waqaf or endowment and Baitul Mal. The programme took place at the Official Residence of the Tutong District Officer.
In attendance was Awang Misle bin Haji Abd Karim, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The programme included a Zakat or Tithe Clinic to provide guidance and assistance on the National Welfare System application procedure, Zakat and Fidyah calculations and other related matters. Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, Member of the Legislative Council and Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Acting Tutong District Officer.
