The ceremony began with the inspection of the parade by the guest of honour, who later congratulated the 195 recruits on completing approximately 14 weeks of training.

“Discipline and integrity are the foundations of a military career that must always be maintained, honed, strengthened and defended no matter what the circumstances wherever you are,” he said.

Referring to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s titah delivered in conjunction with His Majesty’s 80th birthday, the guest of honour also underscored the importance of trust, loyalty and unity.

He called on the recruits to become visionary leaders who contribute towards safeguarding Brunei Darussalam’s sovereignty, peace and prosperity.
