Innovation in One Village, One Product handicraft production, 1K1P of the Village Consultative Council, MPK Kiudang and Pad Nunok has driven the economic activities of the villagers. The work hard of MPK members also helped in ensuring that the traditional handicraft products received an encouraging response.
In an effort to maintain the traditional heritage, MPK Kiudang and Pad Nunok have adopted innovations in the production of handicraft products to increase production and thus strengthen the economy of the residents. According to a handicraft entrepreneur from MPK Pad Nunok, the method facilitates the production of handicraft products such as baskets and hats.
The implementation of the 1K1P initiative has had a positive impact on the lives and economic activities of the residents, including the youth who are also involved in working on it.
With the commitment of the villagers and the support of MPK, the handicrafts of MPK Kiudang and Pad Nunok have the potential to continue to grow as a village identity and a sustainable economic resource.
