The 21st MABIMS Religious Ministers Meeting strengthened regional synergy. The meeting was held in Melaka, Malaysia.
Brunei Darussalam was represented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
Apart from the 21st MABIMS Meeting and the 49th SOM Meeting, various side activities were held, including the Regional Islamic Affairs Premier Forum; the 'Semanis MABIMS, Seharum Serantau' Community Programme; and MABIMS Halal Technical Committee Meeting. Also held was the launching of the MABIMS Strategic Plan 2026-2030.
The MABIMS Meetings aim to ensure that it remains relevant, dynamic and competitive in the face of various challenges, as well as being the best example of regional cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs. The 22nd MABIMS meeting will be held in Brunei Darussalam in 2027.
