In an effort to equip students with practical knowledge and global experience in digital innovation and financial technology, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD and 'Northern Trust', an asset management company from the United States, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, M-o-U. The MoU establishes a framework for UBD and Northern Trust to work together on research and development initiatives in areas such as digital assets, the application of Artificial Intelligence (A-I), and emerging financial market trends to strengthen academic-industry collaboration. The Signing Ceremony took place this morning at Chancellor Hall, UBD.
Signing on behalf of UBD was Doctor Wardah Azimah Sumardi, Dean of the UBD School of Business and Economics, while Angelo Calvitto, Head of Northern Trust Asia Pacific signed on behalf of the company. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of UBD. The MoU represents a significant step in advancing collaborative research and innovation.
