Two companies were issued compound fines for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021.
Inspections and patrols by the Enforcement Unit, Tutong District Office found that Syarikat Awang Haji Mahmud bin Abu Bakar dan Anak-Anak, and Syarikat Lunima Sendirian Berhad in Kampung Luagan Duduk, Tutong District were dumping unused tires and not providing a garbage disposal area. The companies were each fined BND2,000.
The public, companies and business premises owners are advised to always maintain environmental cleanliness.
