A cosmetic product was found to be adulterated with undeclared, scheduled poison listed in the Poisons Act.
The Ministry of Health informed that laboratory tests conducted by the Pharmacy Section, Department of Scientific Services, Ministry of Health found Arche' Pearl cream from Thailand was found to be contaminated with Mercury. People who have used the product are advised to stop using it immediately. The Ministry of Health has not issued any approval for the importation for the sale of this product and/or Cosmetic Notification Acknowledgement Letter for the sale of the affected product. Following this finding, this product is not allowed to be imported and sold in Brunei Darussalam.
