Seven foreigners were arrested in an 'Operasi Kakas' conducted separately by the Law Enforcement Division, Department of Immigration and National Registration. The operation targeted rental houses in Mukim Mentiri and Mukim Berakas 'B'.
In the operation at a Rental House in Mukim Mentiri, six foreigners were arrested and taken to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation. Five of them were believed to have committed the offence of overstaying in the country and working with another employer. While another was believed to have committed the offence of working using a visit pass.
Meanwhile, a foreigner was arrested in an operation on a Rental House in Mukim Berakas 'B'. The foreigner was believed to have committed the offence of overstaying in the country and not working with the original employer.
