The First Series of the National Disaster Exercise 2026 continued with the First Series of Operational and Tactical Exercise, LBK 2026. The exercise is in the form of structured discussions, involving stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of emergency action plans, operational procedures and coordination mechanisms through simulated scenarios without involving the mobilization of assets or actual operations on site. The exercise was held at the Dewan Persidangan, Bridex.
The exercise plays a substantive role in confirming the level of interoperability and integration of existing response machinery. This step directly requires precise coordination between government and non-government entities, thereby bridging the operational gap at all levels of the chain of command starting from top management at the strategic level to frontline operators at the operational and tactical levels.
