Five unit of food and beverage stalls in Mukim Sengkurong were the focus of the 'Operasi Kakas Bersepadu' that carried out by the Law Enforcement Division, Department of Immigration and National Registration, Bandar Seri Begawan Branch and Kuala Belait Branch, together with the Labour Department.
The result of the operation, a foreign national is believed to have committed an offence under Immigration Act, Chapter 17, which is working using a visit pass.
Meanwhile, the results of the Labour Department inspection found several offences under the Employment Orders Act 2009. Namely, failing to pay workers overtime wages, failing to provide leave on gazetted public holidays and placing foreign workers outside of their work placement or residential placement.
