Three more gold medals were competed on the fifth day of the Second Borneo Cup Fencing Championship. It took place at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, 15th August night.
In the women's Epee event, Sarawakian Lee Li Hsuen emerged champion after defeating her teammate Okon Warrie. Sharing third place were Augustine Audrey from Sarawak and Fiyolanda Firzanur from West Kalimantan Indonesia. Meanwhile in the men's Foil event, the athlete from West Kalimantan Indonesia, Putra Deandra took the gold while the silver medal went to Sabah athlete, Chow Ming Liang Louis. Meanwhile, our National athletes, Awang Iskandar bin Abdul Qawi and Chein Wei Gesong Tristan shared the bronze medal. The national athletes dominated the Men's Sabre Event with the gold medal won by Awang Anaqi Danish bin Asahrin, the silver went to Awang Mohd Haziq bin Asahrin and sharing the bronze medal were Md Yunos bin Haji Hamid and Awang Md Hariz Zakaria.
