His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received in audience His Excellency Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry of the Republic of Singapore. This marks the introductory visit of His Excellency to Brunei Darussalam since his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry on 15th May 2024. In further strengthening economic ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore, the visit also provides the opportunity for both sides to further discuss and explore cooperation and collaboration in the fields of trade and investment, with the Ministry of Finance and Economy. Also present during the Audience Ceremony were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy AND Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. The Audience Ceremony was held on 30th September afternoon at Istana Nurul Iman.
His Majesty received in audience His Excellency Gan Kim Yong. Accompanying His Excellency were His Excellency Laurence Bay, High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam and Mr. Adrian Ng, Director-General (Asia, Middle East and Africa), Ministry of Trade and Industry.
