A total of 36 students and five teachers from religious schools in Brunei IV Area were recognised for their achievements at an appreciation ceremony for outstanding performance in the 1446H/2025M Year Six Certificate of Religious Primary Schools (SSSRU) Examination.
Held on Thursday at the Multipurpose Hall of Pengiran Anak Puteri Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam Religious School in Kampung Mulaut, the ceremony was organised by the Brunei IV Area Religious Schools Leaders Committee (JKPSSU).
Head of the Research, Planning and Development Division at the Department of Islamic Studies, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Awang Haji Muhamad Dahrin bin Daud, attended as Guest of Honour.
The students were recognised for achieving Grade 1 results with aggregate scores of five, six or seven in last year’s SSSRU examination.
Teachers were also honoured for their achievements in their respective subjects, alongside schools that recorded a 100 per cent pass rate.
The ceremony began with welcoming remarks by JKPSSU Brunei IV Area chairperson and Principal of Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik Religious School in Bengkurong, Awang Haji KamirulAzman bin Haji Kula, followed by an address by the Guest of Honour.
Certificates and prizes were subsequently presented to the recipients.
The programme also featured Tausyeh and Nasyid performances by students of Pengiran Anak Puteri Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah Religious School in Kampung Kilanas.
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and a group photograph.
The initiative reflects JKPSSU Brunei IV Area’s commitment to strengthening religious education and encouraging students and educators to pursue excellence.
