The 39th ASEAN Senior Amateur Golf Championship, which was held for four days starting on the 21st of September, lowered its curtains with the presentation of prizes to the winners. The ceremony took place at a hotel in Gadong, 24th September night.
The overall winner of the Lela Pahlawan Challenge Trophy was Brunei Darussalam, followed by Malaysia in second place and Thailand in third. More than 200 golfers from six ASEAN countries participated in the tournament. The prize presentation was officiated by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz, President of the Brunei Darussalam Senior Golfers Association.
