Brunei Darussalam won its first two gold medals in the 6th Borneo Games in the swimming event. The national contingent won a silver and another bronze medal also through the swimming event. The Launching Ceremony of the 6th Borneo Games 2025 took place at the Perpaduan Petra Jaya Stadium, Kuching, Sarawak, 24th September afternoon.
36 members of the Brunei Darussalam contingent are led by Awang Haji Mohammad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly, Acting Director of Youth and Sports as Chef De Mission. The national contingent will compete in Swimming, Athletics, Lawn Ball, Badminton and Tug of War.
Earlier in the morning, the national contingent won a bronze medal in the men's 1,500-meter run through Mohammod Arif Zulkifli. The gold medal was won by Akhbar Tanjung from East Kalimantan, while Danial Hakim Mohammed Omar from Sarawak collected the silver medal.
